Le Phallicism
Painting by Michael Paul Bertiaux
My Own O.T.O.A. 1987-1991
These are extracts from letters by Michael Paul Bertiaux, also relating to my charters.
Of about 50 letters (with a total of about 150 handwritten pages), I reproduce here only a handful — out of purely scholarly interest.
Context: the XI° of the O.T.O., the history of the O.T.O.A. (with an overview of the Choronzon Club and La Couleuvre Noire), Memphis-Misraim, Fraternitas Rosicruciana Antiqua, the French Gnostics such as Jean Bricaud, Jules Doinel, Robert Ambelain et. al. and Stefan Hoeller.
The correspondence ended in 1991 and was never to be continued.
My archives include extensive correspondence with Manuel Cabrera Lamparter, the O.T.O.A. archives of the countries of the former Yugoslavia, as well as several boxes of O.T.O.A. journals and internals.
Of course, I am also familiar with current O.T.O.A. material.

The wording of the following two documents is peculiar. In his letter dated 1991–04–22, Bertiaux stated that my rights are “valid until he shall inform me of his intention to do otherwise.”
I have never resigned. I have never stepped back. Nor have I ever intended to do so.
It is rumoured that a so-called O.T.O. Assistant Secretary Internet Affairs of the 'Caliphate' is behind Bertiaux’s altered opinion. Some members of the 'Caliphate' reportedly found themselves deeply disturbed by the Gnostic Catholic Church Boast, which consequently detonated in multiple directions.
Who drafted this version? Why are there two iterations of the same statement—with different signatures? Do others exist?
